![]() It's already soft as cashmere. Already, before washing. And knowing these yarns only get softer and more blooming after a bath my expectations are high as a kite. Happy new yak! And happy new year!! ![]() ![]() I brought home two giant bulbs from Amsterdam last october and forgot them until mid-november. I finally got them into soil on the very same day as one of my favourite danish bloggers. I've so much enjoyed the photos of her flowers' development, especially this one. And finally here are mine! And were they worth waiting for! One of them even has 3 buds rising, and from each bud there came 6 flowers! 18 flowers from one single bulb! I think this is going to be a good year. |
| Gina April 16, 2009 04:27 AM PDT I've just spent a lovely hour reading through your blog. I feel like I've taken a little trip to Norway (and Italy and Denmark). Your knitting is so wonderful; it's just a pleasure to look at it. I'm in the U.S. in Virginia near Washington, DC., by the way. Thank you for your blog and for taking the time to post all your fantastic pictures! | ||
| Kyoko January 8, 2009 10:49 PM PST Happy New Year Karen! I have never knitted with Yak yarn. I knew the shop but never bought anything from there before. Now I am very interested :D I hope you had a wonderful year end and the New Year. The flower is so beautiful. You have a green finger. ;) I kept few hyacinth bulbs from last year and two out or 5 flowered. So I am happy. Hope you have a good week. Look forward to your finished shawl. Kyoko P.S. If you are still interested in the lacy leaf frill shawl patter, let me know. I will e-mail it to you. | ||
